Grammar Quiz 3

The KS2Gems 2020 Y5 Grammar Quiz 3 is an efficient tool designed for Year 5 students to quickly revise and assess their understanding of grammar concepts previously taught. Comprising 10 slides, the quiz is structured to be brief, taking no more than 10 minutes, and can conveniently be conducted at the beginning or end of a lesson. This quiz serves as an ideal method for teachers to gauge students' retention and comprehension of grammar rules in a timely manner.

Students are instructed to use their whiteboards to respond to various prompts throughout the quiz. They are asked to identify common nouns from a given list, such as 'table' and 'witch', while also distinguishing pronouns, such as 'they', in provided sentences. The quiz challenges students to recognise conjunctions like 'that' and 'furthermore', and to create complex sentences with two clauses. Additionally, students must identify adverbs within sentences and from a list, write out proper nouns and determiners, and list interjections. Lastly, they are asked to extract pronouns from a mixed group of words.
