Grammar Quiz 2

The "Y5 Grammar Quiz 2" is a resource created by KS2Gems in 2020, aimed at Year 5 students to help revise their understanding of grammar. The quiz consists of 10 slides, each presenting a short activity meant to assess the students' knowledge of different grammatical concepts. The quiz is designed to be quick and efficient, ideally completed within 10 minutes at either the beginning or end of a lesson. This tool serves as a convenient means for teachers to gauge students' retention of previously taught grammar principles.

During the quiz, students are prompted to write on their whiteboards various grammar elements such as abstract nouns, verbs, conjunctions, pronouns, adverbs, prepositions, determiners, and adverbs of time. For example, they might be asked to identify abstract nouns like 'loyalty' and 'love' from a given list or to pick out the verb in the sentence "They were swimming in the lake." Other tasks include selecting the correct determiner to complete a sentence or writing down prepositions and adverbs as directed. This interactive quiz encourages active participation and helps reinforce the students' grammatical proficiency.
