Biology Resource Description
Homeostasis is a fancy word which basically means keeping things constant within the body. It broadly describes how important things are maintained within our bodies, such as core body temperature and blood sugar levels.
In this video we highlight what needs to be controlled, the reasons why they need to be controlled, and the main mechanism by which these conditions are controlled: the negative feedback mechanism.
