Wildlife presenter Ferne Corrigan locates the deciduous forest around the world, before explaining the different layers of this biome. She explains how birds such as the finch and buzzard have evolved to survive, then focuses on the red fox and how it has adapted to survive predators and to stalk prey in the forest. Ferne also highlights a number of other animals living in the deciduous forest.
This clip is from the BBC series Ecosystems and Biomes. This series explores the adaptations of plants, animals and people for life in different ecosystems on Earth.
