=====================
Artist Yulia Brodskaya demonstrates how she sketches and constructs her name by using paper quilling. She designs the lettering and prints the outline, then sketches swirling curls and pattern. She uses an embossing tool to trace her original sketch and applies paper strips to create a colourful relief sign of her name.
This clip is from Making Art Work, a BBC compilation of short films following six UK-based leading artists as they create new artwork from scratch.
